Chi Alpha Campus Ministries has existed at The Ohio State University for decades—first from 1964-1974 then re-pioneered in 1989 and has existed continuously ever since. Throughout those decades, thousands of students' lives have been impacted and changed by Jesus as a result. In Chi Alpha, everything we do is guided by our Three Anchors. These anchors are our DNA; they are formed from the truth of Scripture and inform our culture.

JESUS

Our relationship to Jesus gives us our identity as we follow Him. Without first being filled up, we have nothing to pour out to others. Our first love is Jesus, then His Church and mission. Ultimately, we desire that every student possesses Real Devotion.

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” – Joshua 1:8

FAMILY

We are adopted by God the Father to be family—His family, the Church. Jesus called His followers to live, grow, and “go” together. We strive to imitate the Trinity: diversity that exists in perfect unity. Ultimately, we desire that every student experiences Real Community.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25

MISSION

We are a family of missionary servants. We are empowered by the Spirit for the purpose of becoming His “sent ones” to bring the Good News of Jesus to the world through both words and actions. Ultimately, we desire that every student engages in Real Responsibility.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20
